It always seems like my beautiful country can never catch a break. So, this morning  I decided to do what I can to assist my country. I’ve created this website to diseminate information about the ongoing crisis situation in Haiti.  I’ll try to post new news as quickly as possible.

Please feel free to comment on any stories.

Thank you for visiting, thats all for now.

Thank you, Dumary, for creating this website to keep us informed on the situation in Haiti. How is the water distribution going? How about water purification systems? I understand that a lot of ground water there has parasites in it. Secondly, why hasn’t the government blessed the people by serving them, such as, progressively installing sanitary drinking water systems, pipes to deliver it to the general public, working on cleaning up ground water wells, protecting them from rats going down in them, etc. Also, ensuring that buildings are built with flexibility in mind, instead of unreinforced concrete which become death traps in case of an earthquake. It seems to me that if a government truly cares about and loves its people, those kinds of considerations would be second nature, as just a matter of course, unconscious concern. It breaks my heart that for so many years the people of Haiti have had to put up with and suffer under such a terrible struggle just to exist. Thank you again Dumary. God bless you.

We’re busy raising money for Haiti by setting up pop up restaurant supper clubs in unusual locations that are not normally ‘Open for Dinner’ and inviting guests to come along, eat and enjoy and make a donation for a suggested amount.

Menus to reflect venues and the more unusual and whacky, the better!

We connect hosts with guests with suppliers with chefs with cooks to share great food, have fun and raise money! Set up your own on http://www.openfordinner.co.uk and donate directly to a charity of your choice engaged in helping our Haitian friends.
